These ladies sound like they may be the Daughters of James C. A. SMITH (don't know what the C. A. is for); He had several children, Catherine who was 10 in 1880; Maud was 7 in '80; Fannie was 4 & Mignonia 1yr. All born in TX. Do you have the women on any census where it shows where the parents were born? James's wife was Hannah J. Neal.

I have tracked James & family looking for his brother, William Farmer Smith, Wm's wife was Anna P. Sanders; they disappear from Uvalde Co, TX after 1870; can find No record until Anna files a Widows Pension App in El Paso Co, TX in 1910. James is still in Uvalde Co on 1880 Census but think some of the children were born in Edwards in 1890's. Don't see a marriage record for the last 4 girls in Uvalde.

I also have a Evans connection; Henry Evans married Flora Casey in Lavaca Co, TX July 1869.
