Alice, thank you so much for the information. I wasn't too sure where I was going to get it. It took me 20+ years to find out where he died and was buried, I thought it might take me a little while to find out exactly where, but you solved that right away.

I am interested in a grave marker and will give your suggestion a try. I have several great aunts and great uncles buried in the Brownwood cemetery, along with my great grandmother Matilda Bowman Lee. But I know where they are.
There was a William Carrol Lee that I'm not too sure where he ended up. He must have been born in the late 1870's in Brownwood. Also, the other most important Lee is my great grandfather, James Y. Lee. We think the Y stands for Young. He lived in Brownwood in 1880 and later, but Matilda was shown as a widow by 1900. I don't have any idea where he is. James was born in 1836 in Pulaski County Missouri. Maybe you can work your magic on him too?
