Hello..I am not related to this family...I just did a quick online census search for you and found that in the years 1910,1920,1930~EUGENE and NETTIE lived in McLennan Co, Tx In 1920 they were shown with a son named VERNON age 13.
*EUGENE Highsmith and a name of someone I can't read )because the census is blurred) is also shown in 1900 in McLennan Co.Tx.
1910 census shows them as being married 11 years and had 2 children and ONE still living?
The 1930 census showed rget were living in the town of McGREGOR(McLennan Co Tx)precint 3. You might want to post to McLENNAN co Tx and see if anyone has info for that county to help with your search?
I have an ikd copy of Houston Co Tx cemetery book and it it is listed 3 names HIGHSMITH~>buried EVERGREEN CEMETERY: Claude Eugene 6/14/1885-3/11/1962, (stonemason) Annette Belle 2/5/1888-6/26/1961 w/o CLAUDE, Claude E. 6/13/1911 -6/28/1950 (son of CE and AB)
I hope this info helps...<L.Nance>
