I mentioned it in my previous response:

There is a volunteer listed on the RAOGK (Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness) site for Houston Co. Maybe she can find an obit for you.

Basically it is a website of volunteers from all over the country who register to do voluntary lookups in their local county. They are just doing lookups, not research, so no charge for service, but they may ask for reimbusent for out-of-pockets expenses -- such as making copies, parking etc.
