James C. DuPree

I am researching the DuPree family in Texas. My path is blocked at James C. DuPree, born in 1803 in Tennessee and listed on the 1850 census in Houston County, Texas. He was married to someone unknown by whom he had seven children born in Kentucky. They were William E.F., Franklin, Victoria, Charlotte, Robert, and Mary. I have recently learned, thanks to Rita Bryan, that there may have been another issue of this union named Sterling DuPree. James remarried (presumably in Texas) a widow, Frances Moore Nelson, who had three children from Nelson. They were Mary, Charles, and Ralph. James and Frances had two children: James M. and Andrew.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
