*I did a quick look-up on what census I could access on my computer and did find your George W.Clark and wife Josephine in HCT....the only thing is that "all" the census pages show a completely different birth date for each...
plus "additional" children for him...(he was shown on one census as having been married twice...(Josephine being his #2 wife)
*1900 HCT shows George born 1842 LA and also his parents born Louisiana
*1910 HCT shows George but now he shows he was born ARKANSAS and also both his parents born ARK.
**This is not uncommon to find info on census changing place of birth..one of the places should be correct..
* Since the HCT cemetery book shows George died in 1915..I tried to find wife Josephine...on 1920 census..but didnt..
she must have been living with one of her children...?
If you will email me direct--I can send you digetal pics of PART of the pages of census for George and Josephine and children...
*Also--you can call the Houston Co. Court House at Crockett,Texas and see if a death certificate is available--and mabe that will show info for George and Josephine the years that the cemetery book shows they died...1915 and 1938...plus you can also make contact with the HCT Historical Office and see if anyone has submitted any info in the files for your Clark's...
