Looking for information on Richard William Vince and wife Mary Temple Vince. Richard Vince was born in Marion Co., MS between 1834 and 1835. He had three daughters by his first wife: Mary b. c 1856, Luella or Ella b. c1857 and Lucy b. 1858 all in Marion Co., MS. Richard's first wife died in July 1863. He married Mary Temple in Dec. 1863. According to Mary Vince's application for a Confederate Widows Pension, they moved to Houston Co. in 1870. By 1880, they are in Pct. 1, Houston Co., TX - no children listed. I'm assuming the girls married between 1870 and 1880. Richard died May 25, 1907 in Houston Co. By the 1920 Census Mary Temple Vince is living with her brother, Thomas Temple in Crockett. She died June 13, 1927. At the time of her death, she was living with a nephew J. H. Temple in Crockett. I would like to know if the three girls got married in TX. , who they married, names of children, etc. Also, where Richard and Mary Vince might be buried. I live just down the road on Lake Livingston and would like to visit graves if possible. Richard Vince's uncles were among Austin's original 300 settlers - Allen and William Vince of Vince's Bayou and Vince's bridge fame down in Harris County. He was my great grandmother's older brother. Thanks in advance for any information!
