Houston Co, TX in 1850, page 167
Elijah 36 farmer TN, Margaret 24 MO, Elmira 11 Houston City, TX, Edward 10 HC, TX, Jane 7 HC, TX, George 4\12 HC, TX, Eliza Hartley 32 TN, Samuel 18 MS, William 6 Mt City, TX.

Looking for descendants of John Wheeler m 14 Sep 1807 to Sukey McCormack in Bedford co, VA. Anderson McCormack, Surety. Probable parents of John, one William Wheeler m 19 Dec 1785 to Sarah Wright, were in Jackson co., TN by 1810. Elijah a very common name in family. John Wheeler on USC 1820 Jackson co, TN:

WHEELER, John 220010-11010 [John age 26-45, b 1775-1794. Fits for 1785 marriage of William & Sarah; a John Wheeler m Sukey McCormack 14 Sep 1807, Bedford co, VA; also
WHEELER, John Sen 320100-20100 Age 16-26 b 1794-1804; ch in his hh ages 10-15, he is surely at upper end of scale, b c1804, so do not believe he is s/o John & Sukey McCormack Wheeler who married 1807. Note John appears older than "John Sen"; possibly Johnson Wheeler and John Sen Wheeler one/same?
WHEELER, Jubal 000100-01000 [age 16-26, fem in hh 10-16, look like newlyweds]. Jubal b 22 Dec 1801
WHEELER, William 020001-0000 ["old" William age 45+, 2 males 10-16, William apparently the patriarch of most of JC, TN clan].

1830 USC, Jackson co, TN:
WHEELER, Elijah 033001-000001;               hoh 30-40, oldest fem 30-40
WHEELER, Johnson 100001-10001;               hoh 30-40, oldest fem 20-30
WHEELER, Elijah 10001-10001;               hoh 20-30, oldest fem 20-30
WHEELER, William 000000001-000000001;        hoh 60-70, oldest fem 60-70
WHEELER, Jubal 110001-41001001;        hoh 30-40, ?wife 20-30, oldest fem 50-60
WHEELER, John 122001-200001;               hoh 30-40, oldest fem 30-40

John and Johnson both 'disappear' from available records of Jackson co, TN after 1840 census. Two fires in Jackson County, TN have made this a very difficult family to track. If this fits your profile, please contact me.

Have not positively identified several children due to records burning, and this Elijah appears to fit profile. Would like to exchange information.
