The Houston Co. Historical Commission needs your help finding information on the following family:

GEORGE BRAILSFORD left PA abt.1907 and came to Houston Co., TX as a part of an extensive real estate venture. The Louisiana-Texas Orchard Co. bought a large amount of land in what now is the center of the Houston Co., TX city of LATEXO. A number of families from PA,OH, MI, MA, & LA moved to the Latexo area and one of those families was the George Brailsford family. They bought land and lived there a number of years. George Brailsford had a son, and he is for whom information is needed: He is THOMAS R. (TOMMY) BRAILSFORD b.1894 d.1918. The Brailsford-English American Legion Post in Crockett, TX is named for him. A story I personally had heard was that he was the last soldier to die in WWI. This may or may not be true. If anyone knows any info, or where to obtain the info on this man, please let us know immediately. THANKS.
