I recently found my ggf John S.James on the Houston Co Tx Census of 1850. With him are his wife 19yo Elizabeth (Woodall) and 1yo William H. All are from Alabama.
Next door is Edmond B.James 53/m TN, Hannah 55/f GA,Sarah 24/f AL, Allan B.15/m AL.
John had moved from Sumpter Co, AL and by 1855 was back in Sumpter Co AL. I believe a daughter Mary was born 1850/51 while they were in Texas. Any help on these people?
