My step father in law is the grandson of Joseph Lafayette Murdoch who was married to a Miss Lively of Anderson county. My father in law's name is H. Q. (Murt) Murdoch and his grandfather served in the Civil War and it is believed that he fought at Sabine Pass with Dick Dowling's men on September 8, 1863. Is this your great grandparents? If you have any other information, I would appreciate you sending me an email. Judy Grounds
