found my fathers ss application .it of course only as good as his memory at age 32. father's name is stated as john thomas bennett which must be the j.t. you found. mother is listed as ida izell lackey. izell could well be a misspelling of ezell which would match the marriage you found in 1897. however there is still the mystery of lackey in the name perhaps she remarried a lackey? what is curious is that you show a g.m. lackey marrying a fannie ezell in 1892. finally i had a flashback yesterday that perhaps my fathers sisters name was not fannie mae but alta fay. any record of a bennett wth this name. help?
