THORP SPRING CEMETERY

There is a large Bandy concrete marker with no other information.

d. 01/22/1874
"Aged 68 Yrs 10 Mos"
"Wife of J.D. Matheny"
"She died a Christian"
(There is a very large rock covered grave next to her without a marker.)

I have a listing for a James Lewis who died ~1864 in Hood County who served in the CSA with CPT Whiteside. See:
