Carter, Tidwell, Frady, 1870-1880 Granbury -Grandview
Posted by: Robin Ezell (ID *****2564) Date: March 25, 2004 at 21:01:27
  of 286

Listed in 1870 Johnson co.
H.H. Tidwell age 23 and Martha wife, age 18.
A couple of doors up lives
WD Tidwell 23
Lucinda 19
William H son 5/12 yr.old
Back down about 4 houses are:
WW Tidwell and his wife Catherine both are 53
Winiah? 25, Levi and Jacob, 20 and 16 respectively.

I'm not connected to these Tidwells that I know of... the next door is my ancestor:
A Carter, 42, wife Lucie, 46,
Feba age 8
TIDWELL, R.I. female age 2
Now why would the Carters have a Tidwell baby in their home with all the other Tidwells living up the road? Was Lucie a Tidwell? Alfred Carter was born in Tenn. Lucie was born in Arkansas.
There are Frady neighbors listed in both census records. I have found where
A. B. Frady married Mrs. Lucy A. Carter May 08, 1873 .
By 1880 census Asberry Frady is listed as a widow. Tidwells are still next door. I think its safe to assume that the Carters both died in Johnson/Hood County. Do not know where.
Liddy Feba Ann Carter was married to James H. Clement in Bell co. TX. Her sister Drucilla was living with Liddy in Coleman co. 1880 Census
I wonder what happened to Drucilla?
Where are Alfred and Lucy buried?
Was Lucy a Tidwell?

Any Clues, Ideas? Suggestions?
