Your line could sure be a good lead for me if I can somehow make a connection! As soon as things settle down around here would like to get back on this one! I don't even have dob for my John Davis but my grt gm, his 1st child to my knowledge, was born 1877 in Ennis and he was already in Ellis Co when he married Ann Pritchard 1874; please, if you ever find something that looks like could tie in I would so appreciate hearing. I think Ann died around the time Jennie was 9 so this would place them in Hood Co sometime around or after 1886, definitely after '81 as Joe was born in Waxahachie then. I don't have anything showing Lewis family connected to my Purselley's but don't have a lot on them at this point. Just checked my tree and do have a Susan Lewis marrying into the Henslee line in Ark 1852 to Josiah who was born 1815; he was a brother to my grt-grt gf Maxfield Henslee. My grt-grt gm Margaret Purselley was b. TN 1826 and married Wm Matlock, 1822 also TN, in Roane Co, TN December 10, 1844. Her father was James "Jim" Purselley. Wm & Margaret both died in Hood Co. Their son Jesse married a Purselley in Hood Co. also: Ruth Apalonia Purselley b. 3/16 1876 in Ark. I show Ruth to be the dau of Caswell b. 1845 who married Sarah Emily Orrell in Carroll Co. Ark 1866; they're burried Nubbin Ridge, Hood Co. Do you show a Matlock, Henslee or Orell connection to your Purselley line? I'm going back & forth as I type this and see now where Garland Purselley, son of Caswell & Sarah married a Maude Davis; they had a son Troy who married Odessa, a very helpful lady in Granbury who I've corresponded with some as she is also into the history. Does any of this help you in some way or seem as though we might connect? Surely would like to think so!! Sandra
