Henry Benton Dunn was born 7/10/1873 in Alabama and died 12/17/1957 in Hockley County, TX. He married Lillie V. Biddix 4/29/1900 in Collin County, TX. They moved to Garvin County, OK abt 1919 and to Hockley County, TX 1925-1930, where they lived out their lives. Lillie's name is shown in censuses as Lillie, Lilli, and Nellie. A Mattie Vista Dunn is buried in same cemetery (Levelland, Hockley County, TX) as Henry and may be Lillie; birthdate is abt right (2/23/1884-10/1/1946).
Several of Henry and Lillie/Mattie's children went with them to Hockley County and also are buried there, including Henry Marshal, Jessie Ray, Marion Ervin, and William Avery Dunn; Jessie married Tessie Pauline Hannah. A daughter, Cordelia/Cordella, married Delbert Wayne Carter.
At least one son, James Albert Dunn, apparently did not go with them to Hockley County. Albert married Rena Merle Wickware in Garvin County, OK 8/4/1922. They had a daughter, Elwanda Louise Dunn, on 1/26/1924. Oral family history says that Albert left the family soon afterwards and was not heard from again.
If anyone has information on this family, especially on Henry or Lillie's parents or on whereabouts of James Albert Dunn after 1924, I would love to hear about it. Am willing to share anything I have. Thanks.
