If anyone lives in Hockley Co.TX and has access to Levelland,TX newspaper archives for the years 1949?- 1950, I would appreciate a look-up.The mother of the boy was Relda Jo Powell, and we don't know her married name, or the boys name.
My husbands young 2nd. cousin was accidently hanged in a tree in his grandfathers back yard. The grandfathers name was Floyd E. Powell and his wifes name was Alma.
Floyd was a well known person in the Levelland area, he owned a popular filling station. Thank you. Joy
