NOIE "NOE" HESBROOK
EDINBURG Noie "Noe" Hesbrook Jr., 57, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, Our Lord, on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born on September 17, 1949 in Edinburg, Texas to Noie Hesbrook Sr. and Mary Amparo Mussio. God gave me a husband that is kind, loving, generous, and faithful; but most of all, a man that always took care of his family, friends, and strangers alike.
Mr. Hesbrook was a graduate of Edinburg High School in 1968 and of Commonwealth Funeral Services in 1972, after which he went on to work at Morales Funeral Home in Houston in 1972. He later worked at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home of Edinburg as a funeral director/embalmer from 1974 to 1985 and as an EMT for Ceballos-Diaz Ambulance Service (1974 1981). Mr. Hesbrook further established himself as a pillar to his community and prominent business man by opening several businesses; Hesbrook Construction (1975 Present), Adobe Grill & Bar (1999 Present), and Hesbrook Monument Company (1974 Present), and took over Hec-n-Bec Restaurant (1980-1999), He made numerous contributions to the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Lions Breakfast Club, Lions Club, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, and Housing Authority. Mr. Hesbrook maintained the food pantry in Edinburg for many years. He also helped provide complete turkey dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas to needy families. He was the founder of the Edinburg Parks and Recreation Golden Easter Egg Hunt. Mr. Hesbrook will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who knew him.
Mr. Hesbrook is survived by his loving wife of 35 years; Estela O. Hesbrook, son; Noie (Ruby) Hesbrook III, daughters; Erica A. (Robert) Alvarez and Annissa L. Hesbrook, brothers; Norman (Hermelinda) Hesbrook, Dr. James G. (Elena) Hesbrook, and Edward (Elizabeth) Hesbrook, sisters; Rosemary (James) Barnett and Becky Hesbrook-Garcia, grandchildren; Alexandra Nichole Flores, Juan Javier "Jay" Flores Jr., and Lauren Micaela Alvarez, and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as, his pet pit-bull, "Bailey."
Mr. Hesbrook is preceded in death by his parents; Noie and Mary A. Hesbrook, and brother-in-law; Hector L. Garcia, and sister-in-law; Elena Olmos Garcia.
Noie Hesbrook III, Dr. James G. Hesbrook, Mark Gonzalez, James Edward Hesbrook, Edward Hesbrook, Norman John Hesbrook, Robert Alvarez, and Judge Charlie Espinoza will have the honor of serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Edinburg Police Department and Edinburg Fire Department.
Special thanks would like to be given to Dr. Hiram Tavarez, Dr. Marvin Tavarez, Dr. Mark Gonzalez, Dr. Norman Ramirez, Dr. Ruben Abreu, nurse Cheryl from ICU and nurse Teresa from the 2nd floor, and all of the medical staff at Rio Grande Regional in McAllen who attended Noie Hesbrook.
The Hesbrook family will receive friends on Friday, January 19, 2007 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 215 N. 16th St. in Edinburg, with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. Christian mass will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Officiating will be Father Fred Meyers. Christian burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park of Edinburg.
In lieu of flowers, the Hesbrook family wishes that contributions be made to the Rio Grande Food Bank, American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home of Edinburg.
