Looking for death and/or burial data on subject. George born May 1845 in Alabama. Married Viola Elizabeth Richardson on 32 Sep 1873 in Burleson Co., TX. According to 1900 census they had they had 6 children with 4 living. In the 1910 census it shows 9 children with 5 living. I have only names of 4 living children.
The Stella Hill Memorial Library in Alto, Cherokee Co., TX. shows a G. D. Martin, body shipped from Malakoff to Alto and order by someone in Athens. DOD 16 Jan 1917 with date of burial 18 Jan 1917 ( where I only assume in Alto). The librarian in Alto has been very helpful but unable to find burial site. Probably buried w/o a marker.
Of course, this may not be the Martin I am looking for. But, would appreciate any info someone might have.
Also, his wife, Viola, looking for her death and burial site.
