We found a new Evie candidate in the 1880 census last night. I think we've been looking in the wrong county with the wrong birthdate and a slightly wrong name. There's an Evelyn Hall in 1880 in Van Zandt County that has a birth date that matches the one on Minnie Ola's birth certificate. Plus, both of her parents are from Alabama, like the 1900 census says. I think there's a pretty strong match here so far, but we have to investigate some more. Evie and J.T. got married in Van Zandt. I found this one by looking at other Hall brides within a few years in Van Zandt... Evelyn's sister, Iduma, got married just a year after her. Based on the Ancestry.com trees (which I believe have some incorrect info on Evelyn), Evelyn's parents (William A Hall and Idilla Mayfield) died when they were young and the girls got married off as soon as they were "of age". We're going to look into this some more, but I have a good feeling about this one. Thanks for looking into the Bradley burials again!
