John B. Davis was b. in Douglass, Butler Co., KS in 1905 and d. in O'Donnell, TX in 1975. He m. Elvie B. (Standbridge> in the late 1920's in Grandfield, Tillman Co., OK. Elvie d. in O'Donnell, TX in 2001. Both John & Elvie are buried in the O'Donnell Cemetery near O'Donnell, TX. The 1930 Census shows they had a son, 1 month old at census time, named John Bunyon Davis, Jr. I am trying to obtain copy of obituaries of John & Elvie and have consultede the White Funeral Home whe was in charge of arrangements. Presently I am trying to contact John B. Davis, Jr. who corresponded with the White Funeral Home following the death oh his mother in 2001. John, Jr. ilived in Chandler, TX in 2001 on Garrett Street. I have called his phone number in Chandler but it appears to be out of service.
John B. Davis was a son of Reed R. Davis [1856-1931] who was b. in White Co., IN and moved to Kansas about 1876. He m. Emlyne M. True who d. following the birth of John B. Davis, SR. Reed R. Davis was a brother of my GRandfather and I hipe to discover descendants of John B. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
