My grandparents were from Malakoff . Ira Smith and Kitty Landreth. Ira was born in 1984 in Henderson Co. I believe he was raised in Eustace. His mother name was Virginia I don't know what his Fathers name was I was told maybe Charles . Ira was a twin but the twin died at birth or shortly after. He had a younger sister , Charlie W.Smith
The 1900 censes say that Charlie was a male I'm sure the confusion was because of the name.Anyway when
Virginias husband died she remarried a man named Monroe F.Slaughter. They had I think 3 children together.Adel, Monroe Jr. and Lilly . Monroe senior had several children by first marriage to Charity . Oh there was a Half sister Margrett Smith I have her married name somewhere. And Charlies married name also. Anyway I would like to know if anyone has any information on these people I would like to know what my great-grandfathers given name was .Ira and Kittry had 4 children Charles Clifford Smith, Lorine , Marine, Ira Herman (my Father) and Erlene,Aunt Erlene was married to a man named Herbert Cherry . They lived in Malakoff until the early 60. He worked for the Ford dealership in Malakoff. Thank you DJ
