Would love to talk to you about Sallie and James Brewster and their childern. Adele (Adella) was my grandmother. She had 11 childern, 9 that lived to adulthood, and my father was the next to youngest. Adele married an Emmett Benjamin Clark and my father was Samuel Seth Clark who passed away in May of 2004. The story was that Adele was orphaned and an uncle took the childern in but that they were very abused and the two oldest boys ran away and Adele was put into an orphanage and then into Foster Care in Houston,Tx. The King Family took her in when she was about 10. Would like to hear your side of the story since your ggrandmother is the one who took in the childern on the death of their parents. Please get back with me ASAP. Hope you still go to this website and see if there are responses for I do not know how to contact you in person.
