Thanks for the information. Can you tell me anymore about this family? I am trying to confirm that Georgia Anne Mosely was the daughter of George Moseley who was born about 1813 in South Carolina and his first wife, Thursy Moore. According to my research, Georgia Anne was born in 1859 in Georgia. She lived with her father and step mother in Alabama. They are listed on the 1860 Conecuh Co., Alabama census. They later moved into Texas living in Henderson County near brother Miles Moseley who was living in Smith County.

While I am not a direct descendant of George Moseley, I am a direct descendant of his brother Miles Moseley who settled in Smith County in the later 1850's. For some time now, I, and other Moseley researchers have been attempting to locate specific proof of the relationship between Miles, George, & Elizabeth with the man we believe to be their father, Howell Moseley. We have been told that family letters exist, but have not been able to locate the current holder of the letters nor even copies of them.

Thanks again for your help.
