LAURA, THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE DATA. DO YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW HOW I COULD OBTAIN A COPY OF THE BOOK. MRS. MARY LOU WAS THE GREAT GRANDMOTHER OF MY FIRST HUSBAND, JAMES OLIVER BARKLEY, MARY'S HUSBAND WAS FRANCIS MARION BARKLEY aka FRANK b.NOV. O4,1847 IN MARENGO COUNTY, AL.-d.APRIL 14,1915 IN MURCHISON (Athens?) TEXAS. HE IS BURIED IN BLACKJACK CEMETERY NEAR MURCHISON,TEXAS. I DON'T THINK MRS. MARY HAS A TOMBSTONE BUT FRANCIS HAS A CSA MARKER. MARY'S PARENTS WERE JACOB SHIREY AND HARRIET (HATTIE)RALEY.THEY COULD,MORE THAN LIKELY, BE INTERRED IN UNMARKED GRAVES AT BLACKJACK,BUT IT SEEMS I HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY WERE IN VAN ZANDT COUNTY. WOULD LIKE HELP TRYING TO LOCATE THEM. MARY AND FRANCIS'S DAUGHTER WAS LIDDIE CLEMENTINE BARKLEY WHO WAS MARRIED TO MASON BEAUREGARD DAY I. THEY ARE BURIED IN BLACKJACK ,TOO, WITH THEIR DAUGHTER, MINNIE DAY AND HER HUSBAND CLARENCE SHIREY. I THINK CLARENCE WAS RELATED TO JACOB SHIREY BUT DON'T KNOW THE EXACT RELATIONSHIP. I WOULD DEEPLY APPRECIATE ANY SCRAP OF DATA ANYONE OUT THERE MAY HAVE OR KNOW WHERE TO FIND.THANKS FOR YOUR HELP. AS EVER, GAYE M. BARKLEY HALL --I ALSO NEED DATA ON ANY MEMBER OF THE BARKLEY FAMILY
RELATIONSHIP.
