"Desendants of George W. Churchwsell"

Hi all

Im trying to find additional information about George W. Churchwell. I
have his Confederate Pension application. At the time he lived in Parker
County, Texas. According to his application he was wounded in his right
arm while serving in the Civil war, he was successful in receiving his pension
12 March, 1900.

His two sisters were witnesses to his disability, 1. B.E. Churchwell
Givens, wife of J.N. Givens of Ft. Worth Tarrent County, Texas. 2.
M.B. Churchwell Turner, wife of J.H. Turner Ft Worth Tarrent County,
Texas.

His son George C. Churchwell of Malakoff Henderson County, Texas was
awarded the Mortuary Warrant for his father, and he was buried in
Malakoff
TX. on 7 June 1924.
This is all the information I have on him. It is possible he is my
great grandfather. My grandmother was Minnie Churchwell, she married
Philip Lacy Anthony and lived in Parker and Palo Pinto Counties in 1909.
My grandparents were divorced about 1925 and she moved to Ft Worth. They
had two children Philip Merel Anthony (my father} and Kathleen ?
Anthony.
George W. may have had another girl Arria. I have a picture of Minnie
and Arria taken about 1907 in Johnson County, it borders with Tarrent
and Parker Counties Texas.

I would appreciate any help you can be on this family. Or any other
information you have on the Churchwell families in this area.
Thanks,
Beverly Anthony Rigney
