Joan, you are right about Carrie and third child, Henry. Carrie's parents were Joe Brown and Caroline Funk Brown, who migrated to Ellis Co., Texas from PA. prior to 1878. Joe was born in Germany before family moved to PA. Caroline born in PA. after family moved from Germany. This family is listed on the 1880 & 1900 census in Ellis Co. Texas. In 1910, Carrie is in Haskell Co. with G.H./J.H.? and two children.
The family believes their Jennings/George McCaleb died Sept. 25, 1938. He did re-marry and have a son (possibly stepson?) who died young in a motorcycle crash, so the Jennings H. McCaleb in Robertson Co. is not their guy. Close but no cigar! Thanks for your input, though. Are you related to this family in any way?
