David Alexander

My 4G-grandfather David Alexander migrated from Pickens County, South Carolina to Harrison County, Texas circa 1846. According to Harrison County deeds, he purchased 320 acres there on 27 Nov 1846 and later sold this same land on 7 Nov 1854. However, David was evidently still living in Harrison County the next year, as he was enumerated with his school-age children on the 1855 Harrison County school census. David Alexander first shows up in Parker County, Texas tax lists beginning in 1858.

Does anyone have any further documentation about my ancestor's first arrival and/or departure from Harrison County?
