Tucker migration to east TX -- Harrison Co

Have tried other avenues and thought perhaps someone could just possibly shed some light on my Tuckers from this angle. My grt-grt gf Geo D. Tucker died in TX. He was born in either Miss or AL per the census reports; there is some indication the family may have come from TN prior to that (census report indicates parents from GA & TN). My thinking is they probably came from TN down into AL then to Miss prior to the TX migration; thus, in later years reported being from Mississippi. He and wife Mary West married in Harrison Co. TX 1854 and a son Lemuel was born there the following year-- the information actually says they married "near Rusk" which is in Harrison Co, but there seems to be no record of this; perhaps they married over a county line. They moved on to Upshur Co TX. He and his father reportedly arrived Harrison Co 1835; do not know if they were accompanied by other children and Geo's mother or just the two of them, or possibly with more of their line. George was born anywhere from 1822 to 1830 per info we find; Confederate records would substantiate the earlier. Mary was b 1835 TN; she evidently died prior between 1880 & 1900 census and George was in Kaufman Co, TX with a son and his family prior to then entering the Confederate Home in Austin where he died later that year.

Does anyone have a Tucker family line that might seem to have come from TN -- or GA into AL then MS and on to Harrison Co, TX in that time frame? There are a lot of other Tuckers in Upshur Co but with no other info cannot connect him to any at this time. Many of my own line went on to west TX, around Merkel in Taylor Co. Thank you for any clues or assistance, Sandra
