As far as i know yes this is Longview

If his wife is there can you take one of hers as well her name was Ethel R V Alexander Mitchum she moved to Ca shortly after his death with her other children so she may not be there at all Franklin Fitzhugh had a nickname of Fetch so that may be what is on his stone
I have no clue

How far do you live from Rusk Co
You might could look up something for me there if you ever go there

My ggggrandfather James Mitchum had a daughter named Susan Ann Mitchum who first married a unknown Wilkerson and then a Thomas Neal
her children were (these children sometimes used Wilkerson and sometimes Neal

Willie Lula Neal (sometimes Wilkerson)she married in Van Zandt co Tx
Sintha Ann Neal (sometimes Wilkerson) supposedly married Joseph Daniel "Dan" Jobe in Rusk co Tx on 9-14-1890

Jesse Lee Wilkerson (should be Neal)

JOhnny Thomas Wilkerson married Lillie Ann Stone (they supposedly married in Rusk Co supposedly on 11-10-1890

William M Wilkerson b abt 1863
Martha E Wilkerson b abt 1861
James F Wilkerson b abt 1866 married ;in Van Zandt co tx

We know who
Jesse married Zona Harris (we are looking for there marriage records and it might be in Rusk co) at Overton

the other 2 Wilkerson Children Martha and William we have been unable to find after 1880 when they moved from Shelby to Rusk by 1900 the rest of these family members were in Van Zandt co Tx
We have lost William and Martha and my ggggrandfather JAmes Mitchum b bet 1784-1794 and died after 1870

I dont have the time to travel to Rusk co Tx and have been trying to find his grave he might have moved with them
he Was 87 years old on the 1870 Census in Shelby Co tx
I dont know where he died at

His daughter Susan moved to rusk Co after 1880 before going to Van Zandt co Tx where she is listed in 1900

so that 20 year Gap they were in Rusk co and a little while in Limestone living with Susans brother my gggrandfather William Daniel Mitchum

I also would like to know if there is a marriage record for William Daniel Mitchum and Mary Ann Whitehurst in Rusk Co TX

We know there date is supposed to be 10-4-1872 (this was from there son's ledger) but we have yet to confirm it
William was still single in 1870 in Shelby co tx so we know they married sometime in the 1870's

William and Mary Ann were in Bell co Tx by 1880 married then Limestone by 1900 where they are both buried there first child was born in 1881

rusk co tx has no marriage records on line at all and I have been through all the cemetery records that are on line so far many times rechecking for James Mitchum my ggggrandfather

I believe however he may have died bet 1870-1880 in shelby co tx and no marker is there for him

shelby had a loss of almost all records before 1880 which truly stinks

but since Gregg is so close to rusk who knows

Debra
