Some 125 years ago the Hardin family of TN and another branch (yours)from GA were considered kin, though distant. John Wesley Hardin the Texas gunman being from the TN branch. About 1900 interest in joining the DAR and other family line groups caused any mention of JWH as kin to be down played by the ladies of the family looking for membrership and today it is considered a fact that he is not kin. But, is he and has anyone found an early link between the two families? Alan Richmond
