Jacqueline: There is no one listed by the name of "Marble" in the 1870 census. However, there is a Robert "Marable", probably a typo, listed on page 31 of the 1870 Hardin County census, Precinct No. 4, Family No. 246, age 50, Farmer, born MS; wife Emeline, age 45, born in AL; children: Adaline, age 12, female, born in TX, Julia, age 4, female, born in TX, and a WILLIAM, age 1, male, born in TX. Hope this is the one. I understand your problem with on-site searches, as I live in Washington State. Marge
