Here's one for you highly skilled and effective genealogy researchers. Find the final resting place for Pleasant Smith Humble born 1833 died 1912 Silsbee, Tx. Founder of HUMBLE, TEXAS. Wife Jane Elizabeth died 1910, one son William S Humble died 1905. Wife and son buried Old Humble Cemetery, Humble Texas no tombstones. I have a pretty good hunch that Pleasant is buried in Knupple Cemetery, Silsbee, Texas 77656 but have no proof. There are probably a dozen Humble tombstones there but didn't find one for him but his wife and son don't have tombstones in the Old Humble Cemetery either but they are still buried there, so it is not that unusual. I looked on the 1900-1910 census and his sister and brother are next door neighbors Silsbee Tx and the Knupple family lived only 4 houses (farms) down from them. His brother Jacob M. Humble is buried in Knupple Cemetery and so is his sister's husband "Dan Chance" although they did die well after Pleasant {1912). I had read where Pleasant went to Hardin Co, Silsbee Tx to live with his brother or sister or both after his wife died in Humble, Tx 1910. Pleasant died less than two years later. It sure points to Knupple Cemetry as his final resting place. The Knupple Cemetery was in use as early as 1860s.
