I am very interested in talking to you about Mattie Evans. She was my great-great aunt. My grandfather was Virgil Rosier, brother of Lance Rosier. I was raised in Saratoga, and my parents live on the old Rosier Homestead, where my great grandparents settled in the 1890's. The Felps Cemetary is our family Cemetary, but, I also know the Oilfield Cemetary. I was 11 yrs. old when Aunt Mat died and attended her funeral. I also have the guest reg. from her funeral. There is just too much to tell you in this e-mail, so I would love to talk to you. My phone num. is 409-246-1664. Feel free to call me. I have been trying to find out where the former slave named Nita, that lived in a log crib beside the Vine Hotel, is buried.
