I am a "graver" volunteer with http://www.findagrave.com and have uploaded the images and info concerning this cemetery.
I recently spoke by phone with Mr. Hite of the Texas Historical Commission and was told the current land owner applied for and received the historical designation for this cemetery. The info has been filed in the county deed records. I do not know if a plaque has been secured for the cemetery. I hope so because it is hard to find if you don't know where to look.
Mr. Hite suggested contacting the local office of the THC to get more detailed info.
