You saw the 1900 census, but didn't include the information found there. I looked at the census and one of the "2 kids" you mentioned was Claude, born Sept 1899. This looks like his death record. You didn't give maiden name of the Mary, so if you didn't have it before, here it is.

TX Dth Idx thru 1976:

Name: Claude H. Woods
Death Date: 08 Feb 1964
Death Place: Vernon, Wilbarger, Texas
Gender: Male
Race: White
Death Age: 65 years
Estimated Birth Date:
Birth Date: 10 Sep 1898
Birthplace: Texas
Marital Status: Married
Spouse's Name:
Father's Name: John Woods
Father's Birthplace:
Mother's Name: Mary Hillyer
Mother's Birthplace:
Occupation: Grocery
Place of Residence: Vernon, Wilbarger, Texas
Cemetery: Wilbarger Memorial Park
Burial Place: Vernon, Texas
Burial Date: 10 Feb 1964
Additional Relatives:
Film Number: 2117406
Digital Film Number: 4028406
Image Number: 2037
Reference Number: 13389
Collection: Texas Deaths, 1890-1976

If Mary was wife number one, who was the next wife? Did you find them on any other census records?

Happy Hunting (^_^)
