Thanks for the suggestion Alice, trouble is I don't know much to report except I made an error in Richard Alvin Hays, it should be Richard Alvin Hays Miles, and being his father Hays Miles moved back to Hamilton before his death I thought maybe someone would know him and Richard. My grandfather was Harvey Carrol Miles and his father was Charles Hamsco Miles. I think Hays was a grandson of Charles Hamsco Miles but I'm not sure which of the sons was Hays Miles father and that's where I hit a block.I think Hays Miles father was James Steen Miles,he born on 18 Oct 1844 in South Carolina. He appeared in the census in 1880 in Colorado County, Texas.I don't have access to check a census and would love to know the wife and children of this James Steen Miles. He died in 1947 in Center City, Mills County, Texas.
