Earnest/ Maloy

I am looking for any help. I am trying to find out why my mothers family kept going back to Hamilton County in the 1920's. First I have my Aunt Opal Earnest born in Indian Gap in 1920. My Great Uncle Levi Moore married a lady named
Minna Zschiesche there in 1920 and then in 1926 my grandfather, Ben Earnest, sister Ruby and her husband John Henry Maloy had a daughter Louise Corabelle Maloy there in Hamilton Co.
In 1920 there were only 90 people in Indian Gap. My grandfather Ben Earneat and grandmother Effie Moore were living there in the 1920's but it is not on the 1920 census.
They had to have had friends of family living there for them to go there. They all lived in San Antonio back then and seemed to be going back and forth for some reason.
Thank you so much
Hugs
Bonnie
