My earliest Smith is George Washington Smith Sr. b. about 1740-50. He married a Jerusha ___?. I don't know his birthplace, but this is a list of the children I have.
Milly Smith, b. 1760-1770.
Catherine "Catey" Smith, b. 1760-1770.
Rebecca Smith, b. 1763.
George Washington Smith, Jr., b. 1770-1780.
Dorcas Dobitha Smith, b. 22 Dec 1780.
Nancy Smith, b. 4 Dec 1785, Mercer Co., KY.
Elizabeth Smith, b. 1790-1800.
Levy Smith, b. 1791.
George W. Smith then married Mary Unknown (before 1793).
James Smith, b. 01 Jun 1799.
Eli Smith, b. 1805.
George Sr. died before 1810 in St. Louis Co., MO.

George Washington Smith, Jr. married Mary "Polly" Fulkerson on 18 Feb 1794. their first child, William was b. 1797 in Mercer Co., KY as were two other children, Hiram and Isaphena. (I descend from Isaphena, who married Andrew Kelso, Jr.
