Dear Lydia,

Thank you for taking time to write to me. Your Irene is not my Irene. My Irene was never married. She lived in Memphis, Hall county, Texas. She was the daughter of William Mack Henry Hughes. He was the son of Thomas Pleasant Hughes b. in Rhea county, Tennessee. Pleasant was a brother of my gg grandfather, Mack Henry Hughes. They were sons of John Walker Hughes of Rhea county. If you think that you might connect with this line of Hugheses let me know. By chance are you related to the Powell family or the Williams. I have some papers somewhere that I thought came from a Linda Crabtree to my mother-in-law about her side of the family. She was Leota Powell Boren.

Hope we can help each other.

Maxine Hughes Boren Blair
