Searching for info on family of John W.I. HERRINGTON and wife Cittura Kate RICHBOURG, who moved from Attala Co. MS to Guadalupe Co. TX, between 1866 and 1868.

On 14 Dec 1868 my paternal GF (Benjamin Lee Herrington) was born there, listed on 1870 census as Lay.

Family travelled to Texas with a babe in arms (Emma b. 1866), a toddler (Jonney\Jamie b. 1865), and 8 yr old girl (Mosuri b. 1860), and 5 teens, Laura and "King" (bro-sis twins b. 1857-58), Joseph b. 1856, Duncan b. 1852, John b. 1851, Mary A. b. 1849, and Martha Newell b. 1847.

Citurra Kate had a son Robert b. 1857 to a man named McPherson

John W. I. Herrington was the son of Enoch (b. about 1802 in GA or SC, also lived in Perry, Covington and Copia Co's MS, d. ca 1858 in Attala Co. MS, where he was one of the early pioneers) and Harriett Stuckey
(b. ca 1807 GA or NC, d. aft 1880 in Covington Co. MS.)

Citurra Kate Richbourg (b. 1832 in Monroe City MS, d. 26 May 1906 in Carlton, Hamilton Co. TX) was the dau of William Richbourg (b. 1802 in Sumter SC, d. 1863-1865 in TX) and Mary Elizabeth Polly Gibson (b. 1807 in GA, d. 1895 in Carlton, Hamilton Co. TX)

She had brothers that served in the Civil war in Comp. D 40th MS infantry (William Woodson and Flood McGrue RICHBOURG), and bro John Wesley served in 2nd TX (army ?)

Benjamin had a first wife, Anna Ludie Richbourg (b. 1871, d. 1888 Erath Co. TX)
They had children - Pleasant "Plez" (b aft 1886), Ben (b 1893), (these all born after 1886) Della, Tommie, Guy, Janet, Ethel. and Audrey.

I know nothing more of Benjamin until he married Anna Belle Blake in Gainesville, Cooke Co. TX ca 1920 and have no documentation of that marraige yet.

Ben died in Dallas TX ca 1948. He was a vegetable vendor in later life buying at the Dallas Farmer's Market.

Any info on family will be much appreciated.
