I haven't actually been to the old cemetary, but have family there. It is my understanding as you leave Highsmith going back to Luling there is a small road on the left. It is a little distance in after you go over the railroad tracks. I have been told that winter is the safest time to try to go back in there due to rattlesnakes.
My mother and I plan to go every winter, but haven't made it so far. I do know someone who could give you clear directions if you are still interested in finding it. I have many family members at Highsmith, Bakers, Andersons, Dunlaps, Appling and Wiley are a few of the names. Plus my father Clifton Visel.
