Lemuel (Lem) G. FAW was born in 1830 at Forsyth County (then Stokes), North Carolina; the son of Daniel FAW (1795-1844) and Anna BLACKBURN FAW (1797-1873).

Lemuel moved to Texas before the Civil War and fought with the Confederacy. In 1870 (in Grimes County, Texas) he married Hannah Mary EASLEY (1844-1942) and had four children: Lemuel Blackburn FAW (1871-after 1907); Anselm Easley FAW (1873-1961); 3) Hannah Marjorie FAW (1875-1959); and 4) Lina Forsyth FAW (1877-1885).

Lem, Hannah, and all four children were living at Grimes County, Texas. When and where did Lemuel die? Hannah was a widow in 1900. Hannah and her two daughters are buried at the Plantersville Cemetery, at Plantersville, Grimes County, Texas. Hannah was the daughter of Anselm B. EASLEY (1817-1879) and Mary H. (1824-1874), both born in Alabama.
