Fred and Julia Kinney

I am interested in information on Fred Kinney, born around 1831 in Virginia and married to Julia-maiden name unknown-who was born around 1843 in Texas. Fred's parents were born in Virginia, Julia's mother was born in Tenn, her father was born in Virginia. It is the family story that one of them was Native American but they are both listed in the 1880 census as black. Their grandson-Perrie Kinney-remembers stories of the family living on an Indian reservation and of Fred Kinney owning land in or around Huntsville, Texas. They later settled in Denton, Denton, Texas sometime after 1900. Their son, Joe Kinney, was born around 1867 and married Sudie Banks-born Oct 1873 in S. Carolina-around 1890. Their child, Maudrie Kinney, Was born 13 Jan 1898 in Calvert, Robertson, Texas. She later moved to Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas when she married Van Lawrence Johnson on 7 July, 1920.
