I was born and grew up in the Longview area. I remember Harmon General Hospital very well. Suggest you direct your query to a column called "Answer Line" in the Longview News-Journal, the town's daily newspaper. You can view the paper online at www.news-journal.com .
Direct your inquiry BY E-MAIL to beecher1408@sbcglobal.net . In the subject put: "ANSWER LINE query about Harmon General Hospital". Then ask about who and what information you are seeking. Log onto the paper on the internet and check for your answer. Sometimes it takes 2-3-4 weeks to get an answer, but YOU WILL BE ANSWERED.
Like I said, I grew up there and when I have a question about Longview and Gregg County history, I direct my query to Answer Line. I will also watch for the answer. If I see it, I will come back to GenForum and send you a message pronto!
Good luck!
