Looking for information on Daniel S. Cain/Mary Russell Cain and Pleasant Haggard/Martha A. Grissom Haggard families living in Texas in 1800s. Both Daniel and Pleasant and several of Pleasant's brothers fought in Civil War with Texas units. I understand the Cain and Haggard families were early settlers in Gregg County, Texas. Pleasant Haggard's son, Wylie William, married Daniel Cain's daughter, Mary Leona, about 1894, I believe in Texas. Wylie and Mary are my gr-grandparents. Mary died in 1912 and Wylie remarried before 1920. His second wife's name was Ginnie or Jimmie. They were living in Roswell, NM on the 1920 census. Wylie's second wife was born in Texas, don't know anything else about her other than she was about 30 years younger than Wylie when they married, 19 years old to his 48 according to 1920 census.
