Have you found Dumas Wheat on the 1920 census? That should tell you if he had a spouse, and maybe children.

Have you seen "An Illustrated History of Grayson County, Texas" by Landrum & Smith? Or, "The History of Grayson County Texas", published in 1979 by the Grayson County Frontier Village? James Pinkney Dumas, father of Losero M. Dumas is in both and so are sketches on the Wheats.
