I am trying very desperately to locate the death record and burial place of Jane Keyes (Keys) between 1870 and 1880 and that of her son, Joseph T. Keyes between 1878 - 1880. She might even be listed as Rosie Jane Keyes. Jane was alive and listed on the 1870 census of Collin County, TX and by 1880, her husband is listed as a "widower" on the Cooke County census, living with his daughter, Anna Elizabeth and her husband, John Graham. We know that one or more of her other children lived in the Grayson County area during this time, but cannot find where she died and was buried. We figure that somewhere between Collin, Cooke, and Grayson Counties, she died and was placed in a local cemetery. Also know that one of her sons, Joseph T. Keyes, also died sometime between 1878 & 1880, for his wife, Laura A. Scalf Keyes shows up as a widow on the 1880 census of Collin County. If anyone can help with obtaining this information, I would be so appreciative. I understand that a small fee would be reasonable if you could help in this matter. I hope someone can help us in finding where her and Joseph died and were buried. It would definitely answer so much about who Jane's parents were and where she came from. Sincerely, Sandra Keyes Kennedy sankenn_99@yahoo.com
