Joan, my email has changed from alamance to Since I emailed you last I have found that George Washington Houseman was born in 1858 in Illinois. His son, Claude Housmon, was born in Van Alstyne in 1886. George Washington was in Grayson Co.,Van Alstyne, in 1880. I believe his first wife might have bee Nancy Lee McKinney: l daughter Maud whose name and birthdate match half sister of Claude. 2nd wife Harriet (Hattie) Rebecca Atkinson. He died May 26, 1933. I don't know where he was buried but believe it was in the Van Alstyne area. Could you do a lookup in your books for any information on him? I would be glad to do any lookups you might need in Washington, DC at the Archives etc. I live locally. Thanks, Nancy Dixon Murray
