These may or may not be related, I really don't know. I came across my Grandmother's 1915 Sherman HS "yearbook" and there are some HUGHES mentioned in it. Ethel, Ruth "Rufus" and Lloyd HUGHES was in her class. Ruth signed her yearbook. Robert HUGHES played on the Championship football team that year. A year after graduation, Ethel HUGHES was "at home" Lloyd HUGHES was at Austin College, and Ruth Hughes was "co. teacher in Ala." There is also a note that Ruth Hughes married Albert Burleson in 1916. My grandmother placed check marks next to the three HUGHES classmates' names, but I have no idea what that meant.
